How we help
It was only a matter of time before condominium developers, architects and designers saw the numerous merits of RAF construction. Builders are able to install RAF systems in considerably less time, resulting in reduced work schedules, and occupants gain energy efficiency and exceptional flexibility. With cables and plumbing housed underfloor, they’re able to design their space, their way. The addition of a Camino UFAD System delivers cleaner air and improved overall home comfort.
For residential applications, the fundamental advantage of RAF is that services such as wiring, cables, electrical supply, plumbing and air distribution can be easily routed under the elevated surface.
Residences with UFAD systems enjoy improved air quality and lower energy and maintenance costs. Since 2015, over 80% of condominium Camino installations have featured the ideal combination of a RAF and UFAD systems.
A Camino Modular Power MPD System paired with our Plug & Play technology provides unlimited flexibility. Occupants have a system that’s economical, accessible and adaptable.
Camino offers a vast range of surfaces, colours and textures from which to choose, including a full selection of beautiful wood, granite and marble finishes.

This historic landmark, located on Chicago’s prestigious Miracle Mile, was originally built in 1929 and is considered one of the finest example of Art Deco architecture in the world. In 2002 the former office tower was converted into 102 luxury condominiums. Camino Systems worked with the renovation team to facilitate the rejuvenation. A new systems infrastructure with raised access flooring was built to house plumbing, piping and cabling services. Each unit features a four-pipe raised floor HVAC system for zoned heating and cooling. As well, Camino’s modular Plug & Play cabling allows flush-mounted electrical boxes to be located almost anywhere. Today, this magnificent old building is one of America’s most esteemed addresses.
